Adipure Combines Elegance With Performance
By: John Steinbreder – Global Golf Post The three new shoe models that make up the latest Adipure collection share one feature: They all were built on a new pure MTO last handcrafted by the noted footwear designer Toshiaki Omori, and made, in the words of Adidas technicians, to have “elegant lines, refined shaping and improved volume in the forefoot.” From there, however, each model was endowed with slightly different attributes. Start with the Adipure TP, which utilizes a premium ThinSOF, hand-finished leather upper with climaproof technology, so that it is both waterproof and comfortable. The shoe also boasts a Glassfiber Torsion System that is placed strategically from the midfoot to the heel to enhance support and stability during the swing. A “puremotion” midsole and outsole is constructed with poured polyurethane, for better cushioning and comfort, while a 10-spike configuration uses Stealth cleats and Adidas’s low-profile technology, dubbed “thintech,” to provide greater traction and surface-area contact. Then there is the Adipure Classic, which employs the same ThinSOF leather upper of the TP but adds soft EVA cushioning in the heel. And it comes with a seven-spike configuration.
